"Our goal is to provide a unique arts experience for young people, where they can connect with a diverse group of students and grow both artistically and personally."

Performing Arts Camp in Toronto This Summer

Two fellow Canadians and very dear friends of mine, Kafi Pierre and Tania Marie Hakkim, are starting a performing arts camp this summer in Toronto.  The camp is for young people ages 7-15 and will run from 8:30am to 4:30pm July 12th-16th and July 26th-30th

Children will have the incredible opportunity to be taught by professional performers whose credits include: Bombay Dreams (Broadway), Cirque du Soleil (International Tours), The Lion King (Toronto), Degrassi: The Next Generation, and more.  The program curriculum includes plays, musical theatre, dance, percussion, poetry, spoken word, lyric writing, theatre games, improv and much more.  On the final day of the camp, the students will perform in a showcase for family and friends.

We want performing arts to be accessible to all children. We want to create a place where children of all backgrounds can create and build life skills.  We want the students to come out of the program believing in themselves and what they can achieve.  We want them to come and DREAM!  We want to start a movement, in the hopes that children will use their imagination more, trust their instincts, and learn tolerance and acceptance through the power of art.

~Kafi Pierre
