#TBT - Viva la Vida Cover by Anthony Rodriguez

I was browsing through some YouTube videos and came across this footage of me dancing for performing artist and entertainer extraordinaire, Anthony Rodriguez.  He performed a cover of Coldplay's, "Viva La Vida" and also created the choreography.  It was filmed almost 4 years ago; I thought it would be fun to share.  Enjoy!

I'm going to see Janet in concert on Monday and am beyond excited.  I've been browsing through her videos online in preparation for the show so I thought I'd share some of my favorites with you (believe me, it was difficult to narrow it down to these few).  I'll definitely do a post-concert follow-up.  In the meantime, enjoy!

What are some of your favorites?

*please note - I wanted to add the "Love Will Never Do (Without You)" video (I seem to have a love affair with the Jackson family and Herb Ritts as I previously wrote about here) but couldn't find the original online anywhere.  If any of you know where I may be able to find it, I will be forever indebted.

Classic Video Pick of the Week: DeBarge "Rhythm of the Night"

This may have very well been one of my favorite videos as a kid.  This was definitely one of the reasons I love jazz dance as much as I do.  I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.  Here it is, in all of it's fabulous, 80s glory, my pick for the week: DeBarge, Rhythm of the Night.

Classic Video Pick of the Week: Ciara "Promise"

Okay, so it may not be a 'classic' video but it is definitely one of my favorite videos in recent years.  I was mesmerized the first time I saw this video; I couldn't get enough of it.  They were so sexy, so sensual, and FULLY CLOTHED!!  I wish more videos would portray women in this manner.  So here it is, my pick for the week: Ciara, Promise.

Classic Video Pick of the Week: Janet Jackson "Control"

So I've decided that I'm going to start posting some of my favorite dance videos of all time, no particular order, just whatever is speaking to me at the moment.  I've chosen to start with this video because it was definitely the reminder I needed today (and of course, the choreography is amazing). So, without further ado, my first choice for the classic video pick of the week: Janet Jackson, Control.
